Guest Facilitator: Myla Cardona-Jones, J.D.
Discover why communities like ours are so often racially segregated and explore how this segregation continues to affect all aspects of life today. Today’s Salon will be led by guest facilitator Myla Cardona-Jones, J.D. In addition to her work as an Assistant Professor and Project Coordinator in the Law and Public Safety Department at Sinclair Community College, Myla is deeply involved in community service and social justice work. Myla, who is married and has a 10-year-old son, will be leading the community Zoom series, “Race and the Law,” which will provide the foundation for Harmony Creek’s upcoming Social Justice Big Read. (See the article in this month’s Currents for more information.) We are excited to welcome and learn with Myla! – Kathy Swensen
