Sanctuary Schedule
Sanctuary comes from the Latin for "sacred place". Sanctuary maintains a faithfulness to Christian worship tradition and practice but in a way that's fresh, lively, and consistent with progressive theology and witness. We will sing hymns, enjoy beautiful choir and organ music, offer praise and prayers, and engage with sermons that are challenging and inspiring. We have a come as you are rule. Don't worry about wearing your Sunday best - dress in whatever way you feel comfortable.
Drawn In: Living the Creative Life with God
During this Epiphany Series we will consider the ways we often spend too much time being “driven” rather than “drawn in” and how we focus on what we “should” do rather than what we feel excited and compelled to do in our lives and for the world. Against the blank winter canvas upon which Epiphany is abided, we will connect with our inherent creativity and nurture a foundational aspect of being human. Being in touch with our creativity also brings us close to an important aspect of who God is: God is creator! Exercising our creative-selves is a source of renewed energy for passionate work, delightful play, and engaging problem solving where we, along with God, become co-creators in making our world a better and more beautiful place for all.
Books Available:
In preparation, and for more intentional study, we are making available the book upon which our Epiphany series is based: DRAWN IN: A Creative Process for Artists, Activists, and Jesus Followers by Troy Bronsink, a Cincinnati based minister, author, artist/musician, and workshop/retreat leader available.
Cost for the book is $15. Get yours this Sunday or stop by the church office while they last!
