If one hurts, all others are involved in the hurt, and in the healing. If one flourishes, all others enter into the exuberance.” (I Corinthians 12:26 adapted The Message)

Our Care Ministry team offers and coordinates care and nurture of the church community through ministries of prayer, presence and actions in keeping with the church’s stated mission of Communicating God’s Grace.

Why this work is important

We are called to ‘love our neighbors,’ and to love with all our hearts, all our souls, and all our minds. Our love for each other is best expressed through practical caring help. Jesus worked in the trenches. If we are to be followers of the Jesus way, then this is our work, also. It is easy to leave the work of caring to others. But caring is like a muscle: the more we exercise that muscle, the stronger it will get. And what is caring? First and foremost, it is a verb. It is action performed with grace and humility. If you want to have an impact in the world, care for someone else. Start now.
